Order an OID

Steadily increasing availability of geodata demands in turn its updating. This is one of several reasons why there is a demand for uniform regulations concerning object identifiers (OID): An OID identifies an object instance even if its attribute values change. At least within one transfer community an OID must be unique, unequivocal and unchangeable.

An object identifier (OID) consists of a prefix and a postfix and has got a set length of 16 alphanumerical characters. You can order an OID prefix with this service.

Please provide e-mail address if you already ordered an OID
